Panama City, Panama
/In Panama City, there is an area called the "old city" (Casco Viejo).It was settled in 1671 after destruction of the previous Panama Viejo, the first Central American city on the pacific coast. It was a walled city to prevent pirate attacks. It has many monuments including the Plaza De Francia which is pictured below. I found the contrast between the new and old city fascinating and focused on that contrast in my portrayal of Panama City. The last picture is of the causeway to the panama canal.
